Wow, that actually worked. I was already giving up on the idea of ever using the latex->pdf export in my beloved emacs editor (or anything with latex->pdf conversion, for that matter). Thank you so much, pnobel! For the record, the files in question were located in C: Users me AppData Roaming MiKTeX 2.9 tex context base and ended with the *.mkii extension (including the supp-pdf.mkii that was causing me grief). I did a backup of all the files and removed them, as pnobel suggested. Compiling latex files and producing pdf files works like a charm now. That's awesome. Edit: Also for the record, I noticed that after the first successful compilation, *.mkii files with the same names appeared once more in that folder, but the content of supp-pdf.mkii looks different now, and there is no documentclass in there whatsoever, which leads me to believe that the supp-pdf.mkii that was downloaded on-demand (or wherever it came from) was broken to begin with.

I really don't recommend installing them separately from the entire macTeX package. That isn't something that ships with OS X, it's a completely separate package that installs basically everything you need for a modern TeX installation (including many of the packages on CTAN).
If you build your LaTeX system from scratch using macTeX (which you might be able to get from CTAN, I now see: ) I'd recommend trying that rather than debugging some stuff done by brew. Did you install pdflatex/xelatex via homebrew? Drivers For Oki B4250 Printer here.

After installing, I received the File 'adjustbox.sty' not found error. After upgrading to regular, I was able to download a notebook as PDF. I tried opening your example notebook and downloading as PDF and I received the same error: nbconvert failed: PDF creating failed, captured latex output: This is pdfTeX, Version 3.14159265-2.6-1.40.17 (TeX Live 2016) (preloaded format=pdflatex) restricted write18 enabled.
