Well things were going along great until we started running out of ink. There is no replacement ink available on Amazon or any other websites that I can find. Currently there is a bidding war for a single pack on Ebay. I even contacted Mattel to try to find an alternative source, but no luck. It looks like a tri-color cartrigde, still hard to determine what can be used if the Barbie ones are not available.

I should add that the seller I purchased this from refused to accept a return (my daughter had opened it and had already scattered and lost a couple of little accessories before we realized it didn't work; so apparently some tiny accessory trumps the $217 for a toy that simply doesn't do what it says it will), and actually suggested that I take the toy to Toys R Us to claim a refund from them for a toy I didn't buy there.
