Hello, i am looking for a solution of the installation of the the driver for the HP Universal camera driver. This is for a HP 6560B and MDT 2012 - 2301781.

In our school district we have a need for printers to be installed by IP address. Certain end users would cease to function if they were unable to printe because a server was rebooting or what have you. Pes 2013 Di Hp there.

First I was looking for a way to install printers by IP faster than the normal 'add a printer', 'add a local printer', 'create a new port' and that whole time-consuming process. REM /Y Suppresses prompting to confirm that you want to overwrite an existing destination file. I noticed a problem using this with HP drivers, Particularly the HP universal driver. (Fails with Win32 error code 2 *unable to find file*) For some reason the VBS scripts don't properly unpack the Help file.

To make it work, just search for unidrv.hlp and manually add it into the driver folder (works for most specific drivers too if you pull the.hlp out of the.cab). There are 2 drawbacks though. It makes the install take a few minutes as it searches the.cab files for it before looking in the root directory. Also, The help file will not use localization (different languages) just the one you pulled out. But then, who uses the help file on a printer anyway?

I have about 75 printers (from 5+ different manufacturers and 15+ different models) in our environment and have used this successfully for every single one. Big thanks, it's very helpfull But I have a question - I have some script running troubles with adding of my Xerox WC7755 with messages: 'Unable to add printer driver xxx Win32 error code -' 'Unable to add printer xxx Error ox80041001 Generic failure Operation PutInstance Provider Win32 Provider Description The printer driver is unknown. Win error code 1797' These messages apear because of windows security warning that 'Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software' and I have to choose 'Install this driver software anyway' (when I install the driver mannually). After that of course if I delete the printer, the script is running without any troubles (because the driver already is present in system). How to avoid this issue? Did somebody solved something like this?
